Josh Berry and the No. 21 eero team head to Las Vegas Motor Speedway looking to rebound from a disappointing end to last Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway and continue the strong stretch of performances they’ve put together in recent months.
“It was unfortunate to get caught up in the incident at Kansas because I felt like we had a solid run going up until that point,” said Berry, who won the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas last year. “Overall, we’ve had a lot of strong runs lately and have been building some good momentum with this No. 21 team. We just need to keep doing what we’ve been doing and hopefully put together another strong weekend at Las Vegas.”
Berry and the No. 21 team have made significant gains in the standings during their recent run of strong performances. Since a seventh-place finish at Indianapolis in late July, Berry has climbed from 33rd to 25th in the NASCAR Cup Series standings and enters Las Vegas just seven points out of 24th.
Practice for the South Point 400 is set for Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET, followed by qualifying at 5:35 p.m. ET, with coverage on truTV.
Sunday’s 267-lap, 400.5-mile event is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET, with coverage on USA Sports.
