Harrison Burton and the No. 21 DEX Imaging Mustang Dark Horse qualified 20th for Saturday’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway.
Burton took that spot with a lap at 180.999 miles per hour in qualifying Friday afternoon. There was no practice, per NASCAR’s rules for races on drafting tracks like Daytona and its sister track Talladega Superspeedway.
Friday was good day for the Blue Oval contingent, as the top six qualifiers and seven out of the top eight were driving Mustangs.
Saturday night’s 160-lap, 400-mile race is scheduled to get the green flag just after 7:30 p.m., with Stage breaks planned for Laps 35 and 95.
NBC will carry the live TV broadcast.
