Harrison Burton and the No. 21 Draiver Mustang are set to start 16th in Sunday’s Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Burton took that spot with a lap at 179.946 miles per hour around the legendary 2.5-mile oval during qualifying on Saturday afternoon.
His speed represented an increase from practice on Friday, where he was 24th on the speed chart with a best lap at 179.122 mph. He posted that speed on the 26th and final lap he ran in the session.
Sunday’s 160-lap, 400-mile race is scheduled to get the green flag just after 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time with TV coverage on NBC.
Stage breaks are planned for Laps 50 and 100.
