Harrison Burton and the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Mustang Dark Horse are set to start 31stin Sunday’s Grant Park 165 on the streets of Chicago.
Burton covered the 12-turn, 2.2-mile layout at 88.603 miles per hour in qualifying on Saturday afternoon.
His speed in qualifying was faster than in practice earlier in the day, where Burton posted a best lap at 87.404 mph. It came on the sixth of nine laps he ran in the session.
Sunday’s 75-lap, 165-mile race is set to get the green flag just after 3:30 p.m. (4:30 p.m. Eastern Time) with TV coverage on NBC.
Stage breaks are planned for Laps 20 and 45.
